Bennachie sunset

Contrails weave across a vivid sunset behind Bennachie - one of Britain's most-loved hills – in Aberdeenshire, with the distinctive silhouette of the Mither Tap. Towards the left of the picture is a small "sun pillar" – a column of light above Millstone Hill. Sun pillars are caused when the sun reflects on ice crystal in the atmosphere.
